Getting (in) Mike Rowe’s Pants has been anything but disappointing.
The ‘Package” has been delivered…
I have taken 8 pair of Mike’s pants and turned them into a Bounty. A Bounty for the sole purpose to raise money for mikeroweWORKS!
This project has proven to be incredible. Thank you to Mike Rowe and his followers, it could not have happened without you!
Who knows what will come of this? I certainly do not!
To date, the C.R.A.P is at the office. I am not sure where Mike is, but I am pretty sure I will be hearing from him when he receives my ‘package.’ Or not. He would be much better at this than I. I loved the photo he posted with him prior to him sending me his ‘package.’ It can be viewed on FB, Mike Rowe. And check out those legs while you are there.
How did I do that? There must have been Magic in those pants. Can you imagine all of the things those pants have been through? Just the inspiration they provided me.
I also became a fan~a groupie, if you will~my friends became followers…Mike, you certainly are worth following. Each day of this project provided me with joy. I got to walk around town saying “I got in Mike Rowe’s Pants,” and for those who did not know who you were…they do now. You are easy to sell…LOL…I had a grin from ear to ear…keep doing what you do. I know I have joined your entourage…You have a great group of people. I am proud to be one!
Oh, and you are not off the hook quite yet. I have developed a pattern for a lighter weight quilt. It would require your shirt and pants~I will get you naked yet…for all your followers to enjoy. And I will be donating the quilt for you to auction off for mikeroweWORKS! Another win-win.
And now we wait for the auction. I have no doubt the opportunity to Get (in) Mike Rowe’s Pants will be worth a pretty penny…
We will be posting information as we get it…
In the meantime…I have been working behind the scenes on my site. Here is a new image I have created. What do you think?
I was tickled to see that the auction closed tonight at $9000!!!!!! Congratulations on earning so much for Mike Rowe Works, and hopefully helping your own business in the process.
Wow! Amazing job! Who knew (besides you!) you could make so much out of used pants! I love it! Thanks for helping out a good cause!
Saw the FB video and was amazed at your talent, Judy. Always knew Mike was the “real thing”. I too like the zipper rose and was wondering what the back of the quilt looked like (will go to ebay). Wow, wow, wow!!!
What a great way to reuse/recycle. I absolutely love the rose pin made of zipper! You are truly talented.
You did a terrific job!
I lovelovelove the zipper roses. I’m going to try to bid on one.
