It all started at the Kutztown Folk Festival…not to be confused with the Philadelphia Folk Festival for sure…that would be a whole other story…dating as far back as the 70’s…
I had the pleasure of attending Kutztown for the first time back at the end of June…We ate from the time we passed through the gate ’til we got to the car…Apple Dumplings w/cinnamon ice cream to Funnel Cake with a whole lot in between…I think there was even Fried Pickles…
The memories I was able to relive… My paternal grandmother was Pennsylvania Dutch….

Here I am shooting a Bow for the first time in like 45 years…
and I didn’t do too bad…
I got to see the Quilt Barn up close and personal…I was blown away…
What seemed like endless racks of quilts all the way to the ceiling. Quilts of all shapes and sizes…for sale or to be auctioned. WOW!
I had the honor of meeting Shirley B. Sacks
Shirley is one of the few people who know a whole lot about Star Embroidery. She is holding a copy of an article printed honoring her and her art…
Oh, the best part…We happened upon a booth in one of the many outbuildings at the fair, it was jammed packed with old metal, ranging from trashcan lids, coffee pots…to oil cans…
All having pumpkin faces cut in them….Metal Spooks Rienholds, PA
After getting them home I rediscovered my love for all things old. Wishing I had another little one that would actually hold oil…This happened…
The Lost Rooms can be found on Etsy The Lost Rooms
and Face book The Lost Rooms of Forgotten Objects Rediscovered…
I happened upon these on my Facebook news feed…on Thursday…Order was shipped Friday and guess what?
They joined my collection on Monday…I have the little one earmarked for my sewing machine oil…What was once old, becomes new once again…
Where can I purchase the oil cans with the pumpkin faces cut in them?
Metal Spooks, Rienholds, PA
Her stuff is amazing. I wish I had taken more pictures…
